Dr. Garcia is a technologist and an entrepreneur.

As a technologist, he is an expert in network security and telecommunications, and has over 17 years of commercial software development experience.  His published works (over 25 publications including two book chapters) include research done in numerical analysis for electro-magnetic applications. As a developer, Dr. Garcia has worked with over 15 different programming languages and a variety of platforms from desktop to the embedded.

As an entrepreneur, Dr. Garcia founded Shadowband Financial as a "live" case study of the use of ShadowDC- a tool created by the global entity Shadowband Systems Inc., a 2007 Administrator's Award of Excellence winner (www.shadowband.com).  ShadowDC is a tool that makes tools.  Shadowband Financial will eventually run completely on the tools designed with ShadowDC (workflow, security, etc.).
